Additional Information

As with Scottish weather, even during the summer months, you can never guess if you are going to get a dry day or a wet day. I would recommend bringing appropriate clothing for the duration of the week. Walking boots and waterproof jackets are a must.

Here I have listed the recommended equipment to make the most out of your week on the Isle of Mull.

* For photographing the sea eagles and otters a 500mm or 300mm prime lens with converters would be ideal. Alternatively, a zoom lens such as an 80-400 would also suffice.

* If you are wanting to photograph the night skies please make sure you have a wide angle lens with you, anything between 16mm and 24mm is a great option on a full frame camera for where we will be photographing. If you own a crop sensor camera a lens such as the Tokina 11-16mm 2.8, do make sure you bring a lens with the widest aperture of at least 2.8.

* Bring along enough spare camera batteries, a tripod, any filters you may have (however not necessary) and sd cards for the duration of the sessions.

* If you have a pair of binoculars, these would be a valuable tool during the week for spotting the otters and sea eagles.

Fitness Level

A high level of fitness would be required for the hike up to Ben More, however, if you feel you are unable to take part in the hike, that is not a problem. The rest of the week will require a medium effort of fitness.
